Figure It Out!

Updated: Jun 3, 2020

We all know the things we should be doing to take care of ourselves but that doesn't mean we are doing them consistently...or at all.

We start strong on a Monday, full-blown ready to rule the gym. We still have a little steam going when Tuesday arrives, then suddenly it's Wednesday and you're sore, you're tired, all your socks are dirty...any excuse will do to just skip one workout. Thursday passes by in a blur and by time Friday happy hour hits those gym plans have flown out the window.

What gives? Why do so many people continue on a never ending cycle of wanting to live better but not sticking to it?

It's because of your WHY. It's all wrong, it's weak. If you truly want to change anything in your life you need to know WHY. Why are you so passionate about feeling better? What is driving you to want to make those changes? It has to be something more than a nagging voice in your head telling you to put down the chips and eat a salad. It has to be something you truly feel in your heart. Something that will drive you closer to your goal every single day.

Think about it. Does your WHY make you cry? Is your WHY strong enough to make you put down the chips and drive to the gym? If not, think about it some more.

Now that you have your WHY, and maybe a good cry, WRITE IT DOWN! Share it with the world or keep it to yourself then follow these tips:

  1. Don't try to tackle your entire goal by Tuesday. Break it down into small steps and celebrate every single milestone.

  2. Don't let anyone discount your WHY! If you choose to share your why with others be prepared for haters. Your goals, your life. #hatersgonnahate

  3. If by Thursday you find yourself making excuses to not stick to your goals, go back to the drawing board. Your WHY isn't strong enough.

  4. If you're stuck in a vicious cycle of starting and stopping reach out for help! Ask your trainer, close friends or other members of the gym for help and accountability.

  5. Go forth and rock your goals!
